Terms of use
The deal, in plain words
These tools are made and run by one independent developer ("I", "me", "TweakApps"). They are free. By using the sites or the software you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. What the tools are, and are not
- Hive is a hosted search layer that I run at hive.tweakapps.uk. There is no self-hosted version. It queries publicly available release indexes and returns metadata about what they list: titles, sizes, languages and the name of the index. It hosts, stores, caches, transmits or streams no audiovisual files, provides no player, unlocks nothing, and does not proxy, relay or bypass any service, block or geographic restriction. Whether a listed release can be played, and whether you are allowed to play it, is decided entirely by the services you connect and by the law where you are.
- Marquee generates recommendation lanes from your own watch history and public metadata from TMDB. It hosts no media.
- AioFin is open-source software that presents an AIOStreams profile to Jellyfin-compatible players. It runs on your own server, with your own accounts and services. I do not operate any AioFin server for the public.
None of these tools provide, unlock, store or distribute audiovisual content. They connect to services and sources that you choose and that you already have access to.
2. Your responsibilities
- Use the tools only where doing so is legal, and only for content you have the right to access. Laws on streaming, circumvention and online content differ between countries, including the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law where you are.
- Respect the terms of the third-party services you connect: Stremio, AIOStreams, Trakt, Simkl, PublicMetaDB, TMDB, your debrid or usenet providers, and the sources you enable in Hive.
- Keep your links and keys to yourself. A Hive link with an API key inside it, or an AioFin login, gives access to your own accounts.
- Do not use the tools to infringe anyone's rights, to attack the service or other users, to scrape or overload it, or for any commercial resale.
- Do not use Hive to look for content you are not entitled to access, or from a country where doing so is unlawful. Hive returns index metadata for whatever you search; it cannot know what you are licensed to watch, so that judgement is yours.
- If you are in the United Arab Emirates, note that Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Countering Rumours and Cybercrimes and Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights make it an offence to use online tools to infringe intellectual property, and to use a false or third-party network address to commit an offence or evade a block. These tools are not designed for that and must not be used for it. Equivalent rules apply in the United Kingdom and the European Union.
3. Copyright, takedown and source exclusion
I respect the rights of creators and rights holders. Hive and Marquee show metadata only (titles, sizes, languages, posters and descriptions sourced from public APIs) and do not host content. If you are a rights holder and believe a listing or a page here infringes your rights, contact me via github.com/tweakapps with the URL and a description of the work. I will respond promptly and remove or block what is required. For Hive this means excluding the listing, the release, or where necessary the whole index from Hive's results; Hive itself holds no copy of any work, so there is nothing else to remove. This follows the notice-and-takedown approach used in the United Kingdom and the European Union and the rights-holder protections in the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021.
4. Third-party names and data
Stremio, Jellyfin, Infuse, SenPlayer, Trakt, Simkl, TMDB and all other product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility. These tools are not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by any of them. Marquee uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
5. Availability and changes
Hive and Marquee are hosted hobby services run on a small budget; neither is offered for self-hosting. They can be slow, change, or go away without notice. I may block abusive use and delete profiles that have been inactive for a long time (see the Privacy page). AioFin is provided as source code and container images under the licence in its repository.
6. No warranty, limited liability
Everything is provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tools, from third-party services, or from content you access through them. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Sponsorship
Sponsoring on GitHub is a voluntary contribution, not a purchase. It does not buy features, support commitments or any change to these terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If you use the tools as a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you keep any protections your local law gives you that cannot be waived by agreement.
